Virginia Tech Middle School Residential Engineering Summer Camp

For the summer of 2018, The Center for the Enhancement of Engineering Diversity (CEED) at Virginia Tech’s College of Engineering will again be offering a residential component to our Imagination day camp for rising 7th and 8th graders, targeting underrepresented students in the Richmond and Martinsville areas. A bus will pick up students in Richmond and Martinsville on Sunday, July 8 and return them on Saturday, July 14, 2018. They will stay in a Virginia Tech dorm with VT undergraduate student chaperones and eat at the dining hall. This is a FREE program! All costs are being covered through the generous support of The BRADLEY DEPARTMENT of ELECTRICAL and COMPUTER ENGINEERING and CEED at Virginia Tech. We are looking for 10 girls and 10 boys from each location to take advantage of this amazing opportunity. There will be an additional 20 students from Prince William County attending the camp.

Students can apply online or by paper. A teacher recommendation is also required. A paper brochure/application and teacher recommendation can be accessed here:https://tinyurl.com/y7u2wwez. Application deadline is April 27, 2018. Note: the application for the residential camp is not the same as for the day camp, and is not available on our web page, so please use the links listed above.
